As the commercial property market continues to rise alongside corporations’ own internally rising overheads, many C-level executive teams are beginning to recognise the value of ingenious co-working environments. Boasting both individual and collective opportunities for collaboration, creative collisions, and an extreme degree of flexibility, such hot-desking and agile working models are currently being reimagined by the best minds in commercial design across the world.
Recently collaborating with commercial design giant, Haworth, to bring Sydney a new executive coworking suite, Precision Flooring aimed to address key critical issues to intelligent workspace design: expertly curated furniture for all manner of task-oriented purposes, a high degree of integrated technology, concierge services, brand design and community engagement for Porter’s extensive and international clientele. According to Haworth design team who collaborated on this project, “the group worked together to research, design, furnish and ultimately activate the space to create a vertical community within the building, facilitating a new way to engage and connect in our digital world”.
Providing its lucky patrons with a large range of different working environments to choose from, further amenities in the space includes a flexible workshop area, small spaces for communality, retreat and entertaining, formal and informal meeting rooms, and a central ‘chalet’ replete with a cosy fireplace.
The use of parquetry throughout the various spaces provides a unifying theme of warmth that is only maximised to the furthest degree by Precision Flooring’s rich Sepia colour treatment for every board. Designed to actively encourage cross-company and cross-disciplinary collaboration, this exclusive executive lounge is making many of Sydney’s top corporates a little green with envy!
